Nia Dancing as a way of life
Nia It is a particularly fun way, combining dance and music, for overall physical training. Based on the use of a large variety of movements, perceptions and ideas from different cultures, it is a holistic-dynamic approach to a life full of movement and enjoyment.
In Nia We will find the stillness and concentration of tai chi, the dynamic poses of yoga, the erupting energy of martial arts and nobility, the release and creation of modern dance. It is the combination of all these that make it a unique, enriching and enabling personal development path.
Nia was born in the early 1980s in California USA, out of a need to develop a program that would be different from group gymnastics, as it was prevalent and familiar at the time, along with a desire to make her physically healthy and work on body parts.
"We felt it was possible to produce much more in the field of group gymnastics than we had experienced until then," say Debbie and Carlos Rosas, founders of the method. "We wanted to create a method that would work on both body and mind."
B At the end of the 1980s, with the considerable expansion and entry of many instructors, the activity center moved to Portland, Oregon, with the message - to move for a healthy life, spreading around the world.
Today, thousands of teachers teach Nia all over the world, and from the end of 2003 also in Israel, nationwide.

Feldenkrais
The Feldenkrais method deals with the learning and refinement of the ability to move and the development of human ability through movement.
The method is a type of gentle exercise that aims to teach the body to move properly.
It is an applied approach, emphasizing the "how" rather than the "what" and enabling a person to learn to move more correctly and healthily, by deepening self-awareness.
One of Moshe Feldenkrais' sentences about his method was: "The impossible must be made possible, the possible easy and the easy to rest."
